This drug functions by blocking dopamine receptors to create an anti-psychotic effect in the body. Dopamine receptors are located in the central nervous system and are highly dependent on the neurotransmitter Dopamine to function. Dopamine is connected with many neurological manners such as learning, thinking, pleasure and memory. An imbalance of dopamine in your body can cause usual mental patterns that can lead to severe mental disorders. The intake of Compazine exerts an antiemetic effect in areas of chemoreceptor stimulation which are accountable for initiating vomiting.
