This medication is used with blood thinners such as Warfarin to avoid the formation of clots, which occur after a heart valve replacement. By avoiding blood clots, this medication reduces your vulnerability towards conditions such as strokes, heart attacks and pulmonary embolisms.
This medication is generally taken four times on a daily basis. It should be taken by mouth. The dosage will be determined by your healthcare provider according to the uniqueness of your condition and the way you respond to the treatment.
