Gyne-Lotrimin is an antifungal treatment for yeast infections in the vagina (also known as vaginal thrush).
How It Works
The active ingredient in Gyne-Lotrimin is clotrimazole, an antifungal agent. This agent directly attacks the infecting fungal cells by blocking the enzymes that help the fungus synthesize a cell membrane. The result is a weakened fungal cell membrane that leads to cell death.
Gyne-Lotrimin is only effective against vaginal yeast infections. It should not be used to treat vaginal bacterial infections. This medication can be used as a cream or a vaginal tablet.

When inserting the tablet, push it as far as it can go inside the vagina using your fingers or the applicator. The tablet should be used for 1 to 7 nights depending on the severity of the condition. Insert the tablet during bedtime.
