Where to buy Serevent Online?

Serevent is a medication given to ease breathing in people suffering from conditions such as asthma.

How It Works

Serevent contains an active ingredient called salmeterol, a short-acting β2 adrenoreceptor agonist (SABA) that causes bronchodilation. Salmeterol can relax the smooth muscles lining the bronchi (airways) in the lungs, expanding them, thus making breathing easy. The body absorbs more oxygen when the bronchi are dilated.

In its main function, salmeterol is similar to more commonly prescribed bronchodilator salbutamol. The primary difference between the two is that salmeterol can last up to 12 hours in the body. Salbutamol only lasts 4 to 6 hours.

Serevent is mainly prescribed to prevent asthma attacks. It is also prescribed to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), emphysema, chronic bronchitis and bronchospasm caused by strenuous exercise that makes breathing difficult. Serevent may be prescribed to treat other medically diagnosed conditions.

Serevent can prevent symptoms of asthma attacks and bronchospasm such as wheezing, coughing, shortness of breath and tightness in the chest. It’s important to note that Serevent is a preventive medication. It has no effect on an asthma attack that’s already occurring. Serevent does not “cure” asthma. With continuous use, salmeterol is known to decrease the severity and number of asthma attacks.

Serevent is available as inhalation aerosol, inhalation powder and oral powder.

Dosage of Serevent varies depending on the form of the drug being used. The severity of the condition and response to treatment also matters when deciding the dosage.

Take Serevent exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Read the patient information leaflet provided with each packaging for detailed dosage information.

This drug is prescribed for continuous use. You must stick to the dosage schedule as instructed by your doctor in order for Serevent to be effective.

Serevent does not stop asthma attacks that have already begun. You should not take Serevent when an asthma attack is occurring or is about to occur. Stick to the dosage schedule to reduce the frequency and severity of these attacks over time.

Do not take Serevent in higher doses than prescribed. Doing so may exacerbate side effects.

Side Effects

Serevent may cause one or more of the following listed side effects:

Runny nose
Stuffy nose
Difficulty breathing
Tightness in the chest
Shortness of breath
Cough that produces mucus
Irritation in the throat

Do not take Serevent if you suffer from any of the following conditions: liver disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, a thyroid disorder, epilepsy or a seizure disorder, or a food or a drug allergy.

People who are allergic to milk proteins or salmeterol are advised against taking Serevent.

Taking Serevent as prescribed can reduce your risk for death caused by an asthma attack. However, Serevent is not a long-term solution for asthma. Your doctor will only prescribe the medication for a certain period of time. Do not take Serevent for longer than the recommended period.

Using Serevent aerosol inhalation devices may take some practice. Read the instructions manual provided with the device to learn how to use it properly.
